This should be about a half a page and will be shared during Book Club. No excuses…
The final rule is that you must not read extra pages in advance in case you accidentally give away what happens for everyone else during discussions in Book Club. No Spoilers!
Book Club roles: The Director is in charge of making sure that everyone has completed their summaries and weekly roles, is on task and not mucking about during discussions. If needs be, they will report people who don’t and they might be asked to leave the Book Club and do boring worksheets instead.
The Summariser will start off each group session bysummarising the main things that happened in that chapter or section. They also need to ask what everyone thought about it and what their favourite bits were.
The Language Legend will find really great examples of writing such as good descriptions or excellent sentences that create wonderful pictures in your head.
The Vocab Master is in charge of finding out the meaning of unusual or interesting words that they (or others) might notknow the meaning of and writing these definitions down.
The Illustrator will draw a really amazing picture of their favourite scene from this part of the book and share it with the group. Have a look here if you are having trouble with your drawing and want some tips.
The Questioner will come up with a few interesting questions about the book. These could be about something that has happened that they didn't understand or be about something they are wondering about in later chapters.
